The Head of Professional Services will lead the team that implements and supports customer deployments of our platform services. This team includes mobile developers, QA, account managers, customer support and support engineers. The right candidate will have both technical and business acumen and a proven track record of leading large scale, complex software projects and supporting them after launch.

Responsibilities:

• Leading customer discussions to understand scope, requirements, assumptions, integrations, and third party dependencies to assess internal level of effort and scheduling of new projects.
• Drafting all SOWs and monitoring scope creep to proactively address with customers.
• Orchestrating and managing deployment plans that result in launches that are on time and on budget.
• Mentoring customer account and support teams to work efficiently and build customer relationships while monitoring billable time and profitability.
• Managing mobile developers, support engineers, and QA team to maximize productivity and meet customer deadlines as well as internal projects that will streamline processes.
• Quickly assessing and refining implementation processes to reach faster time to market while maintaining high quality.
• Thorough understanding of CARDFREE platform with ability to demo to customers for consistent upsell of products and services; includes detailed understanding of what is standard on platform, business rules, limitations etc.
• Adding strategic value to all customer accounts and building customer relationships at executive level, growing profitability and evolving into larger contract renewals.

Requirements:

• Prior experience at systems integrator, consultancy, software or commerce company in a similar role.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and organize cross-discipline teams.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to understand complex technologies and 3rd party integrations.
• Expertise in strategic planning and project management.
• Proven ability to create strong, lasting customer relationships at the most senior level.
• Prior experience managing engineering teams in complex deployments.
• Attention to detail (large and small, immediate and long term).
• Thorough knowledge of software development process.
• Must be resident in SF office.
• Some travel required.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field and 3-5 years of technical work experience.
• Strong SQL expertise. You can write a query to do almost anything.
• Database server administration experience. You know how to manage users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, and replication.
• In depth experience working with MariaDB or MySQL in a high traffic and large data environment (>1TB).
• Database tuning experience. Help us make our database faster by running diagnostics and doing query optimization and other performance tuning.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment. You can address bugs with QA, plan schemas with engineering, and respond quickly to other business needs.
• Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot potential issues, and experience with best practices around database operations.
• Experience working with multi-site systems, including disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Preferred Skills:

• ETL and data warehouse experience.
• Experience working with database running in the cloud (ie: RDS).
• Understand how a design is best mapped onto hardware.
• Linux administration skills.

• 3+ years of experience with running both Linux and Windows production environment.
• 2+ years of experience working in deploying and maintaining enterprise infrastructure and applications on complex, high-volume production environment.
• The individual must be comfortable with working in a team-focused, collaborative environment and participate in all tasks relating to software design, implementation, and integration & testing.
• Performed daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Worked with application servers such as Tomcat and IIS in the past.
• Loves to automate tasks through scripting.

Nice to Have:

• Logging infrastructure: Splunk, ELK stack.
• Experience with Distributed cache (Redis, Memcached).
• Worked with F5 and VMWare ESXi.
• Familiar with grid technology such as Hadoop and HIVE.
• Experience with database management best practices on MySQL or MariaDB cluster.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Part of a PCI certification in the past.

As a Product Manager, you’ll take products from concept to millions of consumers, playing a key role in shaping CARDFREE®’s future.

Description

• Work with engineering counterparts to architect and develop key system infrastructure including APIs, data models, and integration.
• Drive product lifecycle, from concept, through to design and build phases, learning from analysis and making improvements.
• Be an advocate for our merchant customers by leading interviews and other discovery research to gain a deep understanding of their needs and business drivers.
• Manage your product roadmap to balance product/market fit and customer value with structural platform needs.
• Collaborate with the development team, working through implementation details, doing whatever it takes to deliver high quality product on time.
• Define KPIs and metrics to evaluate product performance and measure success.
• Translate customer requests and platform needs into User Stories, logical diagrams, wireframes to convey a clear understanding of what needs to be built.

As a Sr. SW Engineer in BI team at CARDFREE® you will help build a complete BI solution that provides both internal team and external customers with deep and actionable insights in user behaviors, business transactions, and operational efficiencies. You will work closely with our mobile application and platform software developers, building end to end mobile eCommerce solutions that reach 80 million+ users.

You should be:

You will play key role in:

• Define the architecture of data collection, persistence, analysis, reporting, and visualization for our system consisting of large number of mobile devices and servers.

• Create web based BI tools and services, such as dashboards, searches, etc.

• Familiar with open source big data analytics tools (e.g. SQL and NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Spark, Solr, D3, etc.).

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Generalist) to help us develop a scalable, reliable, and highly available platform that supports a growing business. This position is open to our main San Francisco office, but greatly preferred in our Denver office. You will be hitting the ground running and help build something meaningful, that will be used by A LOT of people. Our safety nets are on backorder!

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Work across multiple disciplines (Linux, Windows, network, database, engineering, security) to develop a scalable, reliable, and highly available platform that supports a growing business.
• Help develop and deploy monitoring tools to provide a holistic view of the different layers of the application stack.
• Utilize extreme programming procedures and practices to rapidly develop and deploy your technical solution.

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to TDD (test driven development) practices.
• BS in computer science or related field and 3-5 years of technical work experience.
• Fluency in OO design and development with J2EE or .NET. Someone who is comfortable with diverse technology stacks.
• Minimum 3+ years of Core, middleware and enterprise Java development e.g., RMI, JMX, JMS, EJB.
• EMinimum 3+ years of C# development or Java.
• Minimum 3+ years database skills including table layout and design, SQL Queries, and stored procedures - MS-SQL/MySQL. NoSQL a plus.
• Minimum 3+ year exposure to debugging tools and performance tuning.
