The Homestead, an independent department store in Morris, MN, helps shoppers fuel up with their own in-house coffee shop and deli, Homestead Grounds.

 

Given that the winter months in MN can get pretty frigid, the operators were in search of a way to serve their customers without requiring them to leave their car. The Homestead does not have a traditional drive-thru window setup, so the team came to CardFree to configure a self-serve drive-thru kiosk in their parking lot.

 

With the drive-thru kiosk system in place, customers can now pull up to Homestead Grounds’ branded touchscreen kiosk, easily order and pay, pull into a designated parking spot, and a staff member delivers their order.

 

This system not only provides efficiency and convenience, but also opens a new revenue stream for The Homestead, attracting customers interested in a quick drive-thru coffee who may have overlooked the business otherwise.
